President reported that the 2009 St. Patrick's pot luck supper was well attended again this year with lots of great entertainment after the supper. Thanks to Marie and Lorenzo Grant for taking care of the Irish Float at the Hospitality Days parada, as well as thanks to all those who helped out. A special thank you to member, Billy Boyle, who donated 20 dozen ears of corn for our annual Corn Boil this year and thanks to all of you who helped us eat it and helped with the clean up afterwards. In response to a question from Brian Murphy the members where informed that as a resulf of the work put into the Virtual Irish Trail many people have commented on the information available and have a lot of very good things to say about the site. Joe Hannon spoke about the signage to be used for the Irish Booth at the Museum while Katherine Cooney spoke about work on the photo albums and scrape book being prepared for the booth. Moved by Joe Hannon and seconded by Bev Murphy that $150.00 be set aside for this work. Amendment to the motion made by the Treasurer, Connie Whalen, that this amount be increased to a maximun of $225.00. Carried |
