The family settled near Pokiok, Dumfries Parish, York County. children: 1) Robert Burnett born 1824, d. 12 May 1907, m. 4 Sep 1850 Margaret Saunders Haugh born 25 Apr 1824 d/o Andrew and Sarah (Glendenning) Haugh, d. 30 Oct 1898 2) Mary Ann Burnett b. 1830 3) James Burnett Jr. b. 1832, m. Eliza L. - 4) William John Burnett b. 1837, m. 2 Nov 1864 Lydia Culliton at Fredericton 5) Eliza Leach Burnett b. 1842, m. Mr. Haugh. PANB:MC1/Burnett, 3 pages: James and his wife Sarah came to NB in 1824 with his brother Robert Burnett and his wife Mary, see separate entry for this family.
