Fredericton: Thomas Carleton, born in County Tyrone, Ireland, a Colonel of the British 29th Regiment in the American Revolutionary War and appointed New Brunswick's first Governor in 1784. Thomas was the younger brother of Sir Guy Carleton, Lord Dorchester.

Irish NB Genealogies

RALSTON:

James Ralston, born 1794 in County Fermanagh, Ireland, came to NB in 1819 and settled at Wiggins Cove, Waterborough Parish, Queens County. He married Hannah Wiggins.
The only child mentioned was John Ralston who settled in Saint John.
