John E. Wilson born in Northern Ireland, and died 1865, was the son of George Wilson. He came to NB and settled in Saint John. He married Elizabeth Young, born in Northern Ireland, and died in 1867. She was the daughter of William Young.

On the 19th of Jul, 1849, he married Mrs. Ellen (Claritte) Chandler born 1824, died 2 Jun 1871, d/o John Claritte of Amherst, NS and widow of William Botsford Chandler.

The only child mentioned was William Wilson Jr. b. 2 Jun 1844 in Douglas, d. 29 Sep 1921, m. Jul 1879 Jessie Irene Thompson d/o Alexander and Hannah (Pickard) Thompson of Douglas, NB and had one daughter: they settled in Fredericton.
