Charlotte County Irish Memorials

Beautiful Charlotte County is often thought to be an area more of Scottish and British descent but, truth be told, many Irish came through St. Andrews to enter the province and many more were never able to fulfill their dreams of stepping into their new existence as their lives were ended and their earthly remains interred on the Quarantine Island just off the shores of St. Andrews in Charlotte County.

In memory of those unfortunates who never got the chance to take up their new life in a new world, a memorial dedicated in their honour stands on the shores of St. Andrews in view of that unfortunate resting place.
