Fredericton: Thomas Carleton, born in County Tyrone, Ireland, a Colonel of the British 29th Regiment in the American Revolutionary War and appointed New Brunswick's first Governor in 1784. Thomas was the younger brother of Sir Guy Carleton, Lord Dorchester.

Situated in Southwest New Brunswick, Charlotte County may be one of the smaller counties of the province but it can certainly claim its own share of Irish descendents.

The Charlotte County Chapter of the ICCANB does hold various meetings and events for members and guests but currently we have no listing for an annual event that is open to the general public.
