Joseph Armour, born c1759 in Ireland, died before 1831, married Margaret Steen, born 1763, died 1837. The widow Armour, with two sons and their wives, left Coleraine, Ireland for NB in 1820. They first settled in Fredericton, York County, then in Upper Kent, Carleton County.

1) John Armour b. 1789 in Ireland, d. 31 Mar 1875, m. in Ireland, Catherine Douglas b. 1790 in England, died 1858: first settled at Keswick in York County, then at Upper Kent in Carleton County: had six children.
2) Joseph Armour b. 1798 in Ireland, died in 1876, m. (1st) Nancy Steen born 1799 in Ireland, died 1836,had two children. m. (2nd) Margaret Hazelette born 1815, died 1891: settled in Fredericton: had five children. See 1851 Fredericton census return for children.
