AYLWARD (also Ayluard):
Walter Ayluard (Rev.), born c1812 in Mullinarat, County Kilkenny, Ireland, died 24 Aug 1874. He came to NB and served as a missionary in various places over thirty years. He eventually settled in Sussex Parish, Kings County.

Michael Aylward b. c1800 in Ireland. First came to PEI, then went to NB and settled on Shippagan Island in Gloucester County. Married Élisabeth Doucet.

3) Jeanne/Judith Aylward b. c1830, m. (1st) 29 Oct 1852 at Caraquet, Isidore Gagnon. Married (2nd) 12 Apr 1858 Abraham Thompson s/o Martin and Brigitte (Mazerolle) Thompson
4) Sylvanus Aylward b. c1835, married Prudente David. Had children.
5) William Aylward b. c1837, married 5 Nov 1860 Natalie David d/o François and Françoise (Mallet) David.
6) Joseph Aylward b. c1838, m. 12 Apr 1858 Geneviève Roussel, the widow of Abraham LeBreton
7) Patrick Aylward b. c1843
8) Peter Aylward b. 21 Jun 1846, married (1st) 27 Apr 1868 at Shippagan, Angèle Duguay d/o Raymond and Archange (Basque) Duguay. Married (2nd) 8 Nov 1870 at Shippagan, Romaine Plourde d/o Stanislas Plourde. Had children.
