Born, August 26th, 1927, at Atholville, Restigouche County, N.B. Of French and Irish ancestry. Son of Clifford C. Ayles, Post-Master, and his wife, Evelin Landry.
Educated at the Atholville Superior School; and at St. Thomas Univ., Admitted to the Bar of N.B. in 1952.
Located at Campbellton, N.B. and engaged in the practice of his profession.
Married December 27th, 1951, to Miss Theresie Bourque, daughter of Alphonse Bourque, Manufacturer, Campbellton, N.B. By this marriage there is a family of four sons and three daughters.
Unsuccessfully contested the constituency of Restigouche-Madawaska for the House of Commons, at the G.E. of April 8th, 1963.
First elected to the House of Assembly of N.B., as member for the newly created constituency of Campbellton City, at the G.E. of October 23, 1967, and at present sits as member in the House.
