Born, September 24th, 1917, at Chipman, queens County, N.B. Of Irish-Canadian ancestry. Son of Amos Bishop, Lumberman, and his wife, Annie Elzina Dykeman.

Educated at the Chipman Public Schools.

Located at Chipman, N.B. and engaged in the lumber business. President of the Bishop Lumber Co. Ltd. & Bishop Sawmills, Ltd.

Married, September 15th, 1938, to Miss Margaret Mae Wilson, daughter of Hugh Wilson, Esq., Farmer, Chipman, N.B. by this marriage there is a family of one son and one daughter.

First elected to the House of Assembly of N.B., as one of the members for Queens County, at the G.E. of September 22nd, 1952. Re-elected at the G.E.’s of June 18th 1956, June 27th, 1960, April 22nd, 1963, and October 3rd, 1967, and at present sits as member in the House.
