John Conley
born in Newry, Ireland first settled in Newark, NJ, then came to NB in 1783 as a Loyalist. He settled in Saint John where he is buried. John married Margaret McInnis of Perth, Scotland. She died while visiting friends in NY city and was buried there.

1) Edward Conley: went to South Carolina after Revolutionary War
2) Alexander Conley was killed during the war
3) Joseph Conley b. 1761, d. 1866, m. (1st) 25 Dec 1794 Anna Viets b. 1776, d. 1802, d/o Roger Viets of Digby, NS, m. (2nd) c. 1804 – , (3rd) Eliza Jane Cline, widow of George Cline, b. 1787, d. 1858. They first settled in St. Andrews and then by 1809 were in Leonardville, Deer Island, West Isles Parish, Charlotte County.
4) Jennie Conley m. Mr. Mosley of Saint John, NB.
