Annual Cultural Events
The Fredericton Area includes York, Sunbury and Queens counties – all of which have strong Irish histories.
There are many Irish-related events that take place throughout the year for the benefit of members of the ICCANB and their guests. In addition to these there are annual events that are open to the general public for the purpose of raising the profile of the Irish in this part of the province.
Two such events are listed below however, if anyone wishes to submit other events that happen on an annual basis within these three counties, we would welcom the addition to our listings.
To learn more about the events below, just click on the title of the event to be taken to a detailed description:
June – Bloomsday – a celebration of the works of James Joyce, particularly his novel “Ulysses”
November – Tellabration! – an international storytelling event
