St. Patrick’s Day Event
FRANTICALLY ATLANTIC ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVENT BRUNDAGE POINT RIVER CENTRE Saturday, March 14, 2020 7PM-9PM Frantically Atlantic, Don Rigley and Michelle Daigle are a New Brunswick based touring duo with a broad repertoire of East Coast style / Celtic / Folk / Roots and Acadian tunes and songs – traditional and original. As touring musicians, they have performed and conducted workshops at various festivals and events toting fiddle, hammered dulcimer, Irish bouzouki, bodhran, tin whistles, guitar, concertina, Shruti box and spoons with the occasional cuatro, accordion and banjo. In their combined history they have performed in the Maritimes, Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, New England and Ireland. They are pleased to announce the release of their second album, MAGGIE IN THE WOODS on the Maritimes Music label (Shelburne, NS). “Frantically Atlantic cover a lot of ground with this album. If you’re already a fan of a lot of the traditional tracks on here, then you’ll be thrilled to hear them spin their own versions. If you’re not familiar, then they ensure that your introduction is a memorable one. Either way, their love for Atlantic Canada and its history bleeds into every note they play – it’s right there in their group name, after all.” Michelle and Don are thrilled to be performing at Brundage Point River Centre in celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day … Sláinte! Admission is Free! Refreshments! This event is sponsored by the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield. For information contact Laureen Lennan, River Centre Coordinator, 738-6406.
