William Harley
was born c1750 in Worcester, England, and died c1830. He married Ann Bidder, born c1755 in Swansea, Wales, died c1845.

Children were born in Courtmacsherry, County Cork, Ireland:
1) William Harley b. 1796, d. 1838: to NB about 1820 and worked as a surveyor: m. (1st) Ann MacLean born 1797 d/o Archibald A. MacLean from Isle of Mull, Scotland born 1754, d. 1830 and Prudence French b. 1772, d. 1800, Loyalists who settled on the Nashwaak River: William moved to Ontario where he married (2nd) Susannah –
2) Mary Ann Harley born 1799, d. 1898: came to NB in 1822 and m. John Henry born 1795 at Armagh, Ulster, Ireland, died 1870: had 8 children
3) John Harley born 1800, d. 16 Sep 1875 at Chatham Head: came to NB about 1823, m. 1829 Ann Coughlan: had three sons and two daughters: this family lived in Newcastle, NB
4) Margaret Harley.

PANB:MC1/Harley, 20 pages. Following the death of William Harley in 1830, Ann, his widow, went to Newcastle, NB to live with her son John.
