John Roach, born in Wexford, Ireland, came to NB during Revolutionary War and settled at Roachville, Studholm Parish, Kings County. He married Jane Burgess, widow of Lt. John Burgess.

1) Thomas Roach m. Miss Ennis: moved to Ontario
2) James Roach m. Jane McLeod: settled in Roachville
3) Richard Roach married Elizabeth McLeod, sister of Jane: settled near Roachville
4) Mary Roach married Edward Price of Ward’s Creek.

Thomas Roach, born 1768 in County Cork, Ireland, came to NS about 1790 with his father and settled at Fort Lawrence, NS. He married (1st), Ruth Dixon, the daughter of Charles Dixon of Sackville, NB. They had four sons and three daughters. He married (2nd), Mrs. Sarah Allen, (3rd), Mary Dixon of Onslow, NS, and (4th), Charlotte Wells.
