James Robert Tapley, born 16 Feb 1754, was the son of William and Rebecca (Brian) Tapley of Portsmouth, NH. He died 10 Feb 1799. James lived in Boston, MA and was a shipbuilder. He went to Ireland in 1782 and married, in Cork, Ireland, Mary O’Brien. They came to NB in 1792 and settled at Oromocto, Sunbury County.

5) Mary Tapley m. Joseph Buswell of Bangor, ME
6) James Tapley b. – , d. Nov 1864: settled in Sheffield, NB.
